Order Shipments
Shipments from Farmácia da Misericórdia are carried out throughout the national territory (Mainland Portugal, Madeira and Azores) through DPD and Nacex.
After payment confirmation, we do our best to ship the order on the same day or the next business day (excluding weekends, promotional periods, national holidays in our country and unexpected periods of excessive work). Please note that if an order is placed after 13pm on Friday, it will likely not be dispatched before Monday/Tuesday of the following week.
Orders are sent from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 19pm, with the exception of holidays, and on the days and times used by the logistics company, to the delivery address indicated by the customer. A Farmácia da Misericórdia cannot be held responsible if the delivery address has been incorrectly filled in or corrected after dispatch.
Delivery Times
Shipping to mainland Portugal: Up to 3 business days.
Shipping to the Azores and Madeira: 5 to 7 days (shipping to the Islands of Corvo and Flores may take up to 10 working days longer than normal).
- The shipping cost is calculated depending on the total volume of the order and the country of destination.
ATTENTION: The delivery times mentioned above are estimated and may be changed during critical periods, namely during the holidays, Christmas and others. They can also be changed, in orders that need to be inspected by customs, due to the carrier's own delay or when there are no physical or structural impediments (incorrect addresses or force majeure setbacks, such as strikes, lost connections, bad weather, among others).
Shipping costs
As each order is unique, shipping costs vary depending on the number and weight of the product(s) ordered. The best way to obtain information about the delivery price is to add the product(s) you want to the shopping cart and proceed to checkout where the shipping price will be calculated.
For mainland Portugal, shipping is free to pick-up points for orders over €29.
For Azores and Madeira shipping costs are 9,90€
Track your Order
After placing an order on our website, you will receive a confirmation email with all the details of your purchase. If you did not receive this email, please check your SPAM folder as your email server may forward it there.
After your order is confirmed after payment and delivered to the contracted carrier, you will receive another shipping confirmation email containing shipping details, such as the tracking code, expected delivery date, link to the website to Track the Shipping and other additional information .
It is possible that, when the shipping confirmation email is sent to the customer, when trying to track the order online, you will not be able to do so. It may take some time after receiving the shipping confirmation email for the tracking status to appear on the order tracking page.
Orders not delivered to the customer
In situations where the contracted carrier is unable to deliver the order, for reasons beyond the control of the Farmácia da Misericórdia and/or the delivery service (for example: incorrect or incomplete address, recipient was not present at the time of delivery, among others), your order is returned to our warehouse. As soon as it is delivered, we will contact the customer to propose new shipping or a refund of the amount paid, deducting the shipping costs paid at the time of purchase. Please note that after your purchase arrives at our facilities, it will be checked to determine whether the products were altered or damaged during transport.
If the order is not delivered to the sender due to loss or loss, the Farmácia da Misericórdia is responsible for refunding the amount paid after submitting a complaint to the Contracted Carrier and confirming the loss or loss of the order.
DPD – Pick Up Points
- The carrier delivers to the store belonging to the Pick Up network you selected.
- The carrier will send an SMS informing you that the order is available for collection.
- One week after receiving the order at the Pick Up point, DPD will send a second reminder SMS.
- The order will be available for collection at the Pick Up point for a maximum of 2 weeks after receiving the first SMS.
- If the order is not claimed, it will be returned to our facilities.
DPD – Home Delivery
- When your order is shipped, DPD will send you an email and an SMS informing you that delivery will be made on the next business day, with a link through which you can:
- Change the delivery address – If this change is made by 23:59 pm on the day of dispatch, you will receive the order, at no additional cost to you, at the new address and on the expected delivery date (1 business day). After this time, delivery time to the new address varies from 1 to 2 business days.
- The courier will deliver to the new address;
- If you are absent, your order will be forwarded to the Pick Up point closest to your address and the carrier will inform you via SMS. In this SMS you will have a link available through which you can request a 2nd delivery attempt (new date, new address or new Pick Up point). If it is more convenient for you, you can collect directly at the point indicated by the carrier.
- Reschedule delivery date up to 5 working days
- The courier will deliver on the date indicated by you;
- In case of absence, your order will be sent to the Pick Up point closest to the delivery address and the carrier will inform you via SMS. In this SMS you will have a link available through which you can request a 2nd delivery attempt (new date, new address or new Pick Up point). If it is more convenient for you, you can collect directly at the point indicated by the carrier.
- Select shipping to a Pick Up point of your choice. If this change is made by 23:59 pm on the day of dispatch, it will be received, at no additional cost to you, at the selected Pick Up point, on the expected delivery date (1 working day). After this time, delivery time at the Pick Up point varies from 1 to 2 business days.
- The order will be available for collection at the Pick Up point for a maximum of 2 weeks after receiving the first SMS.
- Change the delivery address – If this change is made by 23:59 pm on the day of dispatch, you will receive the order, at no additional cost to you, at the new address and on the expected delivery date (1 business day). After this time, delivery time to the new address varies from 1 to 2 business days.
- On the day of delivery, you will receive a new SMS informing you of the time window in which the courier will deliver your order.
- In this SMS you will have access to a link where you can follow the courier's route
- The indicated time window will be 1h (example: between 14pm and 15pm)
- After 2 unsuccessful delivery attempts, the order will be returned to our facilities.
How can I try to shorten my Delivery Time as much as possible?
DPD is the means of transport that, in the experience of Farmácia da Misericórdia, the fewer times it is delayed in relation to the estimated delivery time.
When should I expect a longer Delivery Time?
At times of the year such as Summer, Black Friday and Christmas, there are sometimes delays in deliveries by carriers.
Medicine Orders
If you have added a Medicine to the cart, the order can be picked up at Farmácia da Misericórdia Póvoa de Lanhoso or sent to your home only to municipalities bordering Póvoa de Lanhoso, that is, Amares, Vieira do Minho, Fafe, Guimarães and Braga.
